About St. Patrick Newman Club
Saint Patrick Newman Club serves as the Catholic college ministry for the city of Sioux Falls! All college students and college-aged individuals are welcome. We operate out of Christ the King Catholic Church, which is part of the Divine Mercy Pastorate in the Diocese of Sioux Falls. Simply put, Christ the King, Saint Mary, and Saint John Paul II are three parishes that make up one church, and we are the Newman Ministry of that church!

"I am grateful and honored to serve as the Newman Club Director for Saint Patrick Newman Club! I grew up in Warner, SD and had a powerful experience of Jesus’ personal love for me when I was a student at the University of South Dakota. Since then, He has called me to be a missionary in various capacities throughout the midwest, finally calling me back to the Diocese of Sioux Falls a few years ago to Saint Patrick Newman. I love volleyball, deep conversation over an iced vanilla latte, thrifting, and any time I can be in the sun! My husband Wesley and I just welcomed our daughter Hazel! Fr. Jacob Doty
I am grateful to serve as the chaplain for our Saint Patrick Newman Club. I was born in
Colorado Springs, Colorado and was raised here in Sioux Falls. After high school I went to the
University of South Dakota for two years, where I encountered a group of missionaries serving
with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students.These missionaries invited me deeper into my relationship with Jesus Christ and during that time I heard the call to be a priest. I thankfully listened to that call and after two years at the University of South Dakota I transferred to the University of St. Thomas where I finished my degrees and was ordained a priest in 2021. I am excited to work with students in all walks of life here in Sioux Falls and I pray that God will help us all to see His amazing love.

The Saint Patrick Newman Club, the Catholic campus ministry serving Sioux Falls, is committed to nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, and personal development of students through a community grounded in Catholic teachings. Through an environment where students can deepen their faith, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and contribute to a culture of service, our mission is for students to answer the call to be lifelong missionary disciples in order to create a generation of saints.
